One car waiting person responded that Kid Shelleen's in Trolley Square had an excellent beet salad. I walked there- it is within walking distance of a couple of car dealerships. This restaurant has outside seating. I was immediately seated. The service was spectacular. I asked what was good. I am a fan of beet salad, but when the server said hamburger was good, I ordered a medium rare cheeseburger. The kitchen was so fast at preparing my order. My excellent hamburger was cooked appropriately. I found it odd the restaurant was not more crowded, because of the fast service and kitchen. When need to get my car fixed, I need to schedule it my appointment time around lunch, so I can have lunch here again. Tip your server well, particularly if they are good with their food suggestions and quick! ”

“ Being in Wilmington, I knew I had to try Kid Shelleen's after seeing it was voted best burger several times. With that in mind, I ordered the Goldrush burger with fried pickles and onion rings. To begin, the Goldrush burger was topped with pulled pork, fried egg, bacon, and cheese. Knowing that, I dug into the burger and it was very good. To explain, the meat was incredibly juicy and flavorful. It was a perfect medium rare. In addition, the pulled pork was tender and elevated the burger. Also, the fried egg was over hard which is the way it should be on a burger. Moreover, the bun was fresh and tasted good. However, my only complaints about the burger were that the bacon was overcooked and that the burger definitely need some type of sauce on it. Overall, it was a great burger though. After that, I tried the fried pickles and onion rings and both were delicious. To enumerate, the fried pickles were crispy with good flavor. Likewise, the onion rings were crunchy, fresh, and flavorful. I enjoyed them very much. In the long run, Kid Shelleen's is a good restaurant with tasty burgers and onion rings. ”

“ I haven't had a bad meal at Kid Shelleen's. I ate the French Onion soup and took the burger, and brussel sprouts home.The soup was tasty and enjoyable. My server was attentive and bought everything out in a timely manner. I decide to eat outside on their deck this day and enjoyed the weather. The inside was too packed for an early Friday. “ I finally returned for an actual meal at this place. I appreciate very much their vegetarian options and I was faced with quite a conundrum for my own meal. Recently, someone said this place has the best nachos around so I knew that was something I had to sample. In other words, I wanted to be the judge of that. We started with a large plate of those and I will start with the positives. The mountain of chips, and I'm not exaggerating it was a gigantic, everest-esque formation, was absolutely covered in melted cheese. Some of the other toppings include chopped tomato, pickled jalapeno slices, and sliced olives. The toppings were a little sparse in my opinion and I could have used some variety. We had the choice of adding chili, guac, or some other meat and due to my vegetarianism, we opted only for the guac. I tried this and it was too oniony for my taste. Another issue with the nachos was that the chips were placed in a careless fashion. They were dumped onto the plate instead of arranged in a strategic way to maximize the topping to chip ratio. A significant portion of the chips were literally horizontal. What on earth? Long story short, they were fair bar nachos but if they are the best nachos around Wilmington, Wilmington has a problem. For the next course, I ultimately decided on the greek salad which comes with greens, artichoke hearts, feta, kalamata olives. The dressing was light and applied in the perfect quantity. The ingredients were fresh. Again, perhaps more variety on the ingredients but there isn't too much you can do with a greek salad. GF ordered one of the burgers and they were able to swap out the beef patty with an impossible patty. It took her forever to eat it but it seemed that she enjoyed it. She also ordered old bay fries on the side which I took the liberty of eating most of (sorry again babe!) and I will say they were aggressively dusted with old bay but it worked well, they were fantastic. For dranks, I started with the orange crush which was too sweet and artificial tasting. For the second round, I moved on to the litmosa which is INCREDIBLE. One of the better drinks I've had. Service was pretty good, the food came out almost suspiciously quickly. ”
